El Salvador Weather

El Salvador weather is a combination of tropical at the beaches and coastline to temperate at the mountains and plateaus. The mountainous regions can get cold. As with most tropical areas, it has two seasons: rainy and dry. The rainy season runs from May to October and the dry is from November until April.

In the rainy season, temperatures run from 80 to 95 degrees Fahrenheit. It rains quite often during this season and the rainfall can be 11 inches monthly. Of course the ocean increases the humidity along the coastline and there are some 300 rivers in this country that contribute to humid conditions too
