Guatemala Weather
Guatemala weather can be summarized as tropical in the lower elevations and of course cool in the higher elevations. The coastal regions have an average temperature year-round at 68 degrees Fahrenheit and have been known to get as hot as 99 degrees Fahrenheit. Mix a high temperature such as that with high humidity and you can find the climate in the lowlands to be as tropical as it gets.
Like any other tropical climate in this region, there are two seasons: a rainy season and a dry season. The rainy season runs from May until October. During the wet season, it will probably rain in the afternoon and evenings each day and then you will have clear skies at night. In fact, the skies are typically clear at night year-round.
